About

This large terrace house in Queens Park had previously been used as a home for a group of nuns. The house had been divided into numerous cell-like bedrooms, much of the floor area was wasted in gratuitous circulation space. This project necessitated a complete refurbishment with an extension to the rear side lightwell and a new bedroom formed over the rear roof. The rear of the ground floor was opened up to create a generous and bright family space. The layout of the upper floors was altered to a much more efficient plan, with a new stair to the top floors. New windows were installed throughout and new openings created to bring in additional light into the heart of the house.
